Easy Learn Group is the data controller for personal data processed through FocusStudy and FocusRead. This notice explains what we collect and why.

What we collect and why

• Account data (email, login details): to create and secure your account. Basis: contract.
• Book content (page photos, scanned text, notes, recordings, study progress): to provide reading, summaries, explanations and translations. Page photos are processed to read the text; drawing photos are not stored. Basis: contract.
• Usage and device data (IP address, device and browser type, pages scanned): for security, fraud prevention, usage limits and improving the app. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages: to help you. Basis: contract and legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host the app and run the AI features, only to provide the service.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, managing subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
• Authorities when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account or data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or limit processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us through the app to use these rights.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and private storage so only you can see your books.

Cookies

We use only essential storage to keep you signed in and remember settings like language and page colors. We do not use advertising cookies.
